Zusammenfassung:	An electrolytic cell according to the present disclosure comprises: a first separator; a second separator; an ion exchange membrane which is disposed between the first separator and the second separator and has a hydroxide ion conductivity; a negative electrode disposed between the first separator and the ion exchange membrane; and a positive electrode disposed between the second separator and the ion exchange membrane. When viewed in a first direction in which the ion exchange membrane, the negative electrode, and the positive electrode overlap, the area of the positive electrode is larger than the area of the negative electrode.
