Zusammenfassung:The present invention provides, among other things, compositions and methods for reducing oxidation of a complex comprising insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) and insulin-like growth factor binding protein-3 (IGFBP-3), for treating diseases and complications of prematurity. In some embodiments, the methods comprise adding antioxidants. In some embodiments, the antioxidants are methionine or sodium thiosulfate. In some aspects, the compositions provided are stable, pure and potent compositions comprising IGF-1 and IGFBP-3. In some aspects, the formulation is lyophilized.
