The carrier (190) comprises a main panel (12; 112; 212; 312; 412; 512; 612; 712; 812) having one or more article retention structures (RT; RT1, RT2) for receiving and securing the main panel (12; 112; 212; 312; 412; 512; 612; 712; 812) to a respective article (B). The article retention structures (RT; RT1, RT2) each comprise a perimeter (E1, E2,). The perimeter (E1, E2) is interrupted by at least one major cutaway (C1, C2, C3, C4, C5) in the form of a notch or recess, and at least one minor cutaway (N1, N2, N3, N4, N5, N6, N7, N8, N9) in the form of a notch or recess, wherein the at least one major cutaway (C1, C2, C3, C4, C5) comprises a first angular dimension and the at least one minor cutaway (N1, N2, N3, N4, N5, N6, N7, N8, N9) comprises a second angular dimension, the first angular dimension being greater in magnitude than the second angular dimension.
