AEROSOL DELIVERY DEVICE WITH IMPROVED SEALING ARRANGEMENT

The present invention includes an aerosol delivery device (10) including a cartridge (200), an atomizer assembly (400) arranged about a connecting end (204) of the cartridge, and a control body (300) operably engaged with the cartridge about the connecting end. The atomizer assembly includes a base (402) defining a first surface (404) engageable with the connecting end to define a reservoir chamber (210) containing an aerosol precursor composition, an atomizer (420) arranged about the first surface of the base, a liquid transport element (422) defining opposing first and second ends with exposed end surfaces that are in fluid communication with the reservoir chamber, and a reservoir chamber sealing arrangement comprising a first sealing member (436) to circumferentially seal the opposing first and second ends (424, 426) of the liquid transport element and expose the end surfaces thereof, such that the reservoir chamber is sealed by the reservoir chamber sealing arrangement except at the exposed end surfaces of the liquid transport element.
