Zusammenfassung:	A hinge-side finger protection device for a wing-type door has a profiled protection section (1). The profiled protection section (1) can be secured to the wing-type door by being clamped between two door hinges (B) or between one door hinge (B) and a stop device (7). Furthermore, an adapter part (2) is provided that comprises an end face, the position of which can be changed relative to the profiled protection section (1) in the longitudinal direction in order to allow the profiled protection section (1) to be inserted and clamped between the door hinges (B) or between one door hinge (B) and the stop device (7). The adapter part (2) can be inserted into the profiled protection section, and the adapter part (2) end face, which has a variable position, is arranged on the adapter part (2) face opposite the profiled protection section (1) when the adapter part (2) is inserted into the profiled protection section (1). The hinge-side finger protection device allows a simple and quick installation on a door. Furthermore, the hinge-side finger protection device can be used with a plurality of different door hinges.
