Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a cosmetic composition containing Gentiana (gentian) and Leontopodium (edelweiss) and/or Centella (Indian water navelwort), and the use of this composition, in particular as an anti-aging/anti-wrinkle agent. Gentiana, Leontopodium and Centella are suitable for delaying skin aging by surprisingly being able to inhibit the protease MMP-1 which, inter alia, is responsible for the degradation of collagen in the dermis, and being able to stimulate the type I collagen expression in connective tissue.
