Zusammenfassung:Systems and methods for treating water containing PFAS are disclosed. Plasma activated excited gas is encapsulated with nanobubbles in water comprising PFAS to be treated. Liquid-phase reaction of the PFAS with the encapsulated plasma activated excited gas at the air-water interface of the nanobubbles is promoted. The PFAS can be concentrated upstream of the plasma reactor. A foam fractionation process may be used in conjunction with the plasma reactor to facilitate PFAS removal.
