Zusammenfassung:	A dispensing device comprises a dispensing section defining an array of feeder positions for holding a plurality of feeder units, and a method comprises receiving a set of dispensing instructions requiring a selection and an amount of medicaments to be dispensed; predicting a depletion time in the future when the medicaments (90) in the container (50) of a first feeder unit (41) will be depleted or are past their expiry date; providing a notification (81) ahead of said depletion time that a second feeder unit (42) holding medicaments (90) with the same composition (91) needs to presented to the dispensing device (1, 101), together with a due time (83) for presenting said second feeder unit (42) to the dispensing device (1, 101); and continuing the dispensing of the medicaments (90) from the first feeder unit (41) at least until the due time (83).
