Zusammenfassung:A medical adhesive device for stabilizing bone fragments comprising an adhesive which has a tackifying temperature of at least 40°C, comprising a polymer derived from a polyester, poly ether, polyalkylene glycol, polysilicone, or polycarbonate core with terminal alkyl- benzene-diol or alkyl-benzene-triol groups. The adhesive further comprises a heat transfer agent such as hydroxyapatite to permit softening prior to adhesion to the bone fragments. The adhesive forms a layer on a tape comprising a non-adhesive support structure. A method of using the device comprises heating the adhesive composition to soften it, contacting the softened adhesive to the bone fragment, and allowing the adhesive to cool.
