Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to a wetting device (1) for cereal grains comprising a container having a container inlet (11) and a container outlet (12), which are arranged in such a way that cereal grains flowing into the container inlet reach the container outlet due to the effect of gravity. A plurality of nozzles (36, 37) function to wet the cereal grains inside the container. The wetting device also has a flow directing device, e.g. formed by impact elements, inside the container, which shape a flow of the cereal grains flowing into the container inlet and falling downwards. The nozzles (36, 37) are arranged such that liquid or vapour exiting same sprays the cereal grains below the flow directing device, while the cereal grains are in free fall.
