The openings (10) are each formed by a distance (a) between two adjacent bricks (3) of one layer (4). The wall (2) has a stiffening arrangement (8) for absorbing forces acting perpendicularly on the wall (2). The stiffening arrangement (8) extends at least in the openwork area of the wall (2) completely between the opposite flat sides (6, 7) of the wall (2) formed by the bricks (3).
