COMBINATION APPLIANCE AND METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING THE SAME

The present invention concerns a combination appliance (10) comprising a cooking hob (12) and an extraction device (14). The cooking hob (12) is covered by a top plate or a worktop (22) having an opening (24) or a recess formed therein. The extraction device (14) is arranged below the top plate or worktop (22) and comprises at least one fan (36) for sucking air from an area above the cooking hob (12) through the opening (24) or recess of the top plate or worktop (22) and for conveying the air through an air channel of the extraction device (14). The air channel of the extraction device (14) includes a channel section (58), which is arranged downstream of the opening (24) or recess and upstream of the fan (36). The channel section (58) is arranged adjacent to components of the cooking hob (12), the channel section (58) thereby forming a barrier for preventing the conveyed air to get in contact with the components of the cooking hob (12). According to the invention, the channel section (58) comprises an upper portion and a lower portion. The upper portion abuts a surface zone of the top plate or worktop (22). The lower portion abuts and/or is supported by a wall section of the cooking hob (12). Further disclosed is a method for assembling a combination appliance (10) comprising a cooking hob (12) and an extraction device (14).
