Zusammenfassung:The aim of the invention is to detect an arc (arc) in an assembly (1) for transferring a direct voltage (Udc). This aim is achieved by a communication transformer (4) having a primary winding (L1) and a secondary winding (L2), the secondary winding (L2) being connected to a transmitting device (3), which is designed to apply a communication signal (iTx) to the secondary winding (L2) of the communication transformer (4), and the primary winding (L1) being connected to one of the direct voltage lines (DC+, DC-) in order to apply a communication signal (iTx') transformed by the communication transformer (4) to one of the direct voltage lines (DC+, DC-). In order to detect, in the assembly (1), the arc signal (iarc) caused by an arc (arc), the secondary winding (L2) is connected to an arc detection unit (5), which is designed to detect an arc signal (iarc') transformed by the communication transformer (4).
