Zusammenfassung: | Abstract of the Disclosure Disclosed is a display method using a fixed-distance display system, comprising: measuring by a first inertial measurement unit a first value relating to a head pose of a user; calculating by a processor the head pose of the user based on the first value; measuring by a third inertial measurement unit a third value relating to a body pose of the user; calculating by the processor the body pose of the user based on the third value; capturing by a camera an image; performing by the processor machine vision optical flow analysis on the image; generating by a light source a light beam; propagating by a light guiding optical element at least a portion of the light beam by total internal reflection; displaying by the fixed-distance display system a body centric virtual user interface in a field of view of the user based on the head pose of the user relative to the body pose of the user at a fixed distance and in a fixed position relative to the body of the user; displaying by the fixed-distance display system the body-centric virtual user interface at the distance and in the position relative to the head of the user that varies with movement of the head of the user such that when the head of the user moves relative to the body of the user, the body-centric virtual user interface moves in the field of view of the user; and displaying by the fixed-distance display system three dimensional virtual images having dimensions that do not exceed 0.2 diopters to 0.6 diopters. |
