Specifically, the present invention relates to Cercospora-resistant Beta vulgaris plants comprising a first Cercospora resistance providing genomic fragment on chromosome 4, wherein said first Cercospora resistance providing genomic fragment comprises at least one sequence from the group consisting of SEQ ID Nos. 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, and 15.
