Zusammenfassung:Wear assembly for an earth moving machine and corresponding machine, said assembly comprising a wear element (2) and a support (3) which are coupled such that they define an interface between them, having a first and a second interface surface (41, 51), as well as a magnetic part (4) generating a magnetic field with one of the magnetic poles perpendicular to said second interface surface (51), and a magnetic detector (5) oriented so as to have a maximum of detection in a direction perpendicular to said second interface surface (51), the second interface surface (51) having a channel (6) up to a first depth within the corresponding wear element (2) or support (3), and a step-shaped recess (7) adjoining said channel (6), said magnetic detector (5) being provided in said step-shaped recess (7).
