SULCUS IMPLANTS AND METHODS OF USING THE SAME

This disclosure provides ophthalmic implants such as sulcus implants which can comprise one or more drug delivery devices. Further provided herein are methods of using the drug delivery ophthalmic devices described herein for implantation into a subject's eye, e.g., into an eye's ciliary sulcus or capsular bag. The implant comprises: a ring or partial ring comprising a first material and configured for implantation into an eye of a subject, the ring or partial ring characterized by an outer circumferential surface, an inner wall, and a central aperture; and a closed loop haptic comprising a second material and attached to the ring or partial ring at a haptic first end and at a haptic second end wherein the first material and the second material have different chemical compositions and the ring or partial ring is more rigid than the closed loop haptic.
