Zusammenfassung:An apparatus and method for adjusting a length of a canopy of a hydraulic roof support for top coal caving, and a hydraulic roof support for top coal caving are disclosed. The apparatus includes a driving member, a canopy extension and a controller. The driving member drives the canopy extension to extend or retract under control of the controller, to adjust the length of the canopy; and the controller obtains a current coal caving quantity on the hydraulic roof support, and controls an action of the driving member based on the coal caving quantity to allow the canopy extension to extend or retract.
