Zusammenfassung:	Provided herein are devices and methods of processing a sample that includes, in several embodiments, rotating one or more microfluidic chips that are mounted on a support plate. Each microfluidic chip can be rotated 180° on the support plate so that the sample can be run bidirectionally through each of the microfluidic chips. Each of the microfluidic chips can include a fluid path comprising a plurality of expansion and compression regions that increase in radius in more than two dimensions.
