Zusammenfassung:	Provided is a weight that is easily attached to and detached from a load suspension rope. The weight is arranged to detect overwinding of a load suspension rope hung downward from an erect member of a construction machine. The weight includes a weight body, and the weight body has a cylindrical shape that surrounds the load suspension rope and is suspended from the erect member with a cord-like part. The weight body has a rope insertion space formed therein, the insertion space permitting insertion of the load suspension rope in a radial direction of the rope. The rope insertion space includes a sloped slit section, and the sloped slit section has a shape that is sloped with respect to the center axis.
