The packaging system comprises a forming tray 10 and a covering for the forming tray such as a lid 24 or lidding film. The forming tray 10 comprises individual moulds 14a, 14b arranged in the forming tray, each mould 14a, 14b associated with one of the individual moulded food products 16a, 16b, 16c of the complete meal 18 and configured to receive a mouldable food product to form the individual moulded food products 16a, 16b, 16c.
