Zusammenfassung:A surgical connection device for a spine is provided, wherein a first spinal rod is configured to fix a group of first vertebrae together at a first lateral side of the spine and a second spinal rod is configured to fix the group of first vertebrae together at a second lateral side of the spine. The surgical connection device includes an elongate stabilization member; one or more anchor arms, each of the one or more anchor arms having a first end connected to a first portion of the elongate stabilization member and a second end configured to connect to the group of first vertebrae; and one or more first control arms each having a first end connected to a second portion of the elongate stabilization member and a second end configured to connect to at least one second vertebra of the spine, the at least one second vertebra not being fixed to the first spinal rod or the second spinal rod, nor connected by the surgical connection device to any other vertebra of the spine except via the one or more control arms. The first end of the one or more anchor arms connects to the first portion of the elongate stabilization member at a connection position that is medial and posterior of the first and second rods.
