CARTRIDGE, PHOTOSENSITIVE MEMBER UNIT AND ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS A cartridge is provided to an electrophotographic image forming device body that is not provided with a mechanism which causes a body-side engagement part, provided to the device body in order to transmit a rotational force to an image carrier, to move according to the opening and closing operation of a body cover of the device body, such movement being in the rotational axis direction of the image carrier. The cartridge is removable in a prescribed direction substantially orthogonal to the rotational axis of the image carrier, wherein the cartridge can be removed from the device body without impairing useability performance. In accordance with the movement of the cartridge when removing the cartridge from the electrophotographic image forming device body, in conjunction with movement in a direction orthogonal to the rotational axis of the image carrier, a coupling member that can move in a direction parallel to the rotational axis of the image carrier penetrates to the inner side of a recessed part of the body side engagement part provided to the device body, and the coupling member receives the rotational force from the body-side engagement part.
