Zusammenfassung:OIL FILTER ADAPTER An oil filter adapter device (100) may be used to enable an engine (101) or other machine that was manufactured for using cartridge oil filters to use spin-on oil filters. In some examples, the oil filter adapter (100) may have a docking collar (104) for coupling with an engine (101), a cylindrical base (102) for coupling with an oil filter housing (103), and an attachment piece (106) for coupling with a spin-on oil filter (105). The oil filter adapter (100) may also have a spring (808) disposed between the docking collar (104) and the cylindrical base (102) such that the docking collar (104) is compressible relative to the cylindrical base (102) to allow the oil filter adapter (100) is able to couple to a variety of oil filter housings ranging in size and shape.
