Zusammenfassung:A data centre facilitating communications between an alarm communicator at a monitored site and a remotely located monitoring centre, the data centre comprising: 5 a computer server system configured to: receive a time-stamped alarm event message from the alarm communicator, the message comprising encoded information identifying a triggered zone for an alarm event; processing the time-stamped alarm event message to determine both the triggered zone and time of message, and utilising the processed information to retrieve media data recorded by one or more 10 cameras at the monitored site that are associated with the triggered zone for storing as a media file; generate a shortened URL web link to the stored media file; generate a new alarm signal encoding all of the information contained in the received alarm event message in addition to the shortened URL web link; and sending the new alarm signal to the remotely located monitoring centre; and wherein responsive to the URL web 15 link being accessed, the computer server system is further configured to present the media file to a requesting browser for alarm event verification.
