Zusammenfassung: | The present invention generally relates to a multi-band EBG integrated wearable antenna.It comprises a multi-band antenna for sensing ISM data and wireless transmission of the ISM data. It further comprises an electromagnetic band-gap (EBG) structure composed of n x n array of plurality of EBG cells. The present invention improves the isolation between human body and antenna by positioning of EBG array structure underneath the wearable antenna. Using an EBG array underneath the wearable antenna reduces the SAR of the antenna and improves the gain, efficiency and front to-back ratio of the antenna. Here, the addition of a plus-shaped slotted EBG structure introduces additional equivalent inductance and capacitance to the EBG cell.
