Zusammenfassung:	A METHOD OF PREPARATION OF AQUEOUS EXTRACT OF SIDA RHOMBIFOLIA LINN FOR ANTIBACTERIAL ACTIVITY Aqueous extract of stems of Sida rhombifolia Linn. exhibited inhibitory effect towards the pathogenic organisms. The zone of inhibition values of aqueous extrtact of stems of Sida rhombifolia Linn. in against two Gram positive microorganisms viz. Bacillus subtilis and Clostridium tetani and two Gram negative microorganisms viz. Salmonella typhi and Pseudomonas aeruginosa of these species, the aqueous extract of stems of Sida rhombifolia Linn. showed significant activity. The solvent (distilled water) used, as control exerted no effect against the microorganisms in broth medium.
