VOLATILE COMPONENTS COLLECTION UNIT WITH INCINERATION OF CRUDE PLANT MATERIALS The design of the instrument is based on incineration of crude plant materials on regulated temperature on a hot plate and thereafter, collection of volatile components by accessories connected to it. The volatile components are collected in organic solvents taken in glass containers that are closed air-tightly. The pure crude drug as well as mixture of the crude drugs can be incinerated on temperature controlled hot plate having the covering of transparent sheet all around. The incineration process can be performed at different temperature and the smoke containing volatile components is collected through the tubes attached to the well closed hot plate. The fumes are collected in glass tubes containing organic solvent for further analysis by instrumental techniques like as UV-Visible spectrophotometry, HPLC, GC, GC-MS, LC-MS.
