Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to a battery module (10). The battery module (10) has at least one first battery (20) and a second battery (20), and all of the batteries (20) have a cylindrical design. All the batteries (20) have at least one electric contact (24) on a first cylinder base, and all of the batteries (20) have a bursting membrane (22) on a second cylinder base. All of the batteries (20) are arranged parallel to one another, and all of the first cylinder bases are arranged in the same direction. All of the batteries (20) are arranged in the module housing, and the module housing has a first module housing part (30) and a second module housing part (40), wherein the first module housing part (30) and the second module housing part (40) are designed to be flat and are arranged perpendicularly to the longitudinal direction of the batteries (20). The first module housing part (30) has first recesses for receiving a respective share of the batteries (20) in the region of the first cylinder base surfaces, and the first module housing part (30) has openings for feeding through the electric connections in the region of the first recesses. The second module housing part (40) has second recesses for receiving a respective share of the batteries (20) in the region of the second cylinder base surfaces, and the second module housing part (40) has bursting points (44) in the region of the second recesses. A potting compound (50) is arranged between the first module housing part (30), the second module housing part (40), and the batteries (20), and a respective cavity (60) is arranged between the bursting points (44) of the second module housing part (40) and the bursting membranes (22) of the second cylinder bases.
