Zusammenfassung:	[Problem] To provide a power storage system and a power storage method which are capable of effectively stabilizing a power system. [Solution] According to one embodiment, a power storage system comprises a hydrogen production unit which is connected to a first point located on the distribution line of a first power system, and produces hydrogen by using the power supplied from the first point. The system further comprises a hydrogen storage unit which stores hydrogen produced by the hydrogen production unit. The system further comprises a fuel cell unit which is connected to a second point, that is different from the first point, and is located on the distribution line of the first power system or the distribution line of the second power system, generates power by using the hydrogen stored in the hydrogen storage unit, and supplies the power obtained by the power generation to the second point.
