Zusammenfassung:The invention preferably concerns a method for measuring an axial displaceability of a shaft rotatably mounted in a casing, characterised in that the casing with the rotatably mounted shaft is clamped horizontally in a clamping device. After setting the force application directions to the 5 central axis of the shaft, a first force is initially applied along a first force application direction until a first test force is reached, and a second force is subsequently applied in an opposite direction along a second force application direction until a second test force is reached. During the operation, the measuring instrument measures the shaft's axial change in position relative to the casing in order to determine the shaft's displaceability in relation to the casing.
