Zusammenfassung:Abstract A system for moving a portion of a patient's body comprises a housing having a first cavity; a first distraction rod, a second distraction rod and a drive system. The first distraction rod has a first end, a second end, and a second cavity, wherein the first distraction rod is configured for telescopic displacement relative to the first cavity. The second distraction rod has a first end and a second end, wherein the second distraction rod is configured for telescopic displacement from within the second cavity. The drive system is configured to cause displacement of at least one of the first distraction rod and the second distraction rod.
