Zusammenfassung: | INERTIAL MEASUREMENT UNIT FOR WEARABLE CONTINUOUS HUMAN MOTION INFORMATION SYSTEM Human movement analysis and tracking involves assessing diverse variables to enhance and improve the life of a person. The movement of humans can be continuously tracked by incorporating an Inertial Measurement Unit(IMU) based system. These IMUs have extended battery life. The motion signals are acquired digitally. The analysis and acquisition of signal is carried out by online classifiers. There is real time analysis of the collected signals. This system serves as an effective platform and data is collected through a 3 axis accelerometer, magnetometer and a gyroscope. The inertial data is stored using a micro SD card and Bluetooth is used for communication. A PIC microcontroller is utilised to process data and orientation estimation algorithm is deployed. The information is transferred real time to the computer through a wireless body sensor network. The proposed IMU system provides enhanced performance and is comparatively of low cost.
