Zusammenfassung:	A detection device is coupled to a plurality of communication devices via communication lines. The detection device has a reception unit, a measurement unit, and a detection unit. The reception unit receives signals transmitted from the plurality of communication devices, respectively, with prescribed pulse widths. The measurement unit measures each of the pulse widths of the signals received by the reception unit. The detection unit detects, on the basis of a plurality of the pulse widths measured by the measurement unit, communication devices located in the vicinity of terminal ends of the communication lines as terminal-end communication devices.
