Zusammenfassung:The aim of the invention is to detect an arc (arc) in an assembly (1) for transferring a direct voltage (Udc). This aim is achieved by a communication transformer (4) having a primary winding (L1) and a secondary winding (L2), the secondary winding (L2) being connected to a transmitting device (3), which is designed to apply a communication signal (i_Tx) to the secondary winding (L2) of the communication transformer (4), and the primary winding (L1) being connected to one of the direct voltage lines (DC+, DC-) in order to apply a communication signal (i_Tx') transformed by the communication transformer (4) to one of the direct voltage lines (DC+, DC-). In order to detect, in the assembly (1), the arc signal (i_arc) caused by an arc (arc), the secondary winding (L2) is connected to an arc detection unit (5), which is designed to detect an arc signal (i_arc') transformed by the communication transformer (4).
