A laundry machine according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: an inverter for converting, into alternating current power, direct current power from a converter by means of a switching operation, and outputting the converted alternating current power in a drain motor; and a control unit for performing control such that the drain motor is operated at any one of a first speed, a second speed that is lower than the first speed, and a stopped state when a washing tub motor accelerates. Therefore, the drain motor can be efficiently operated according to the operation of the washing tub motor. |
