The invention relates to an injection head (10), for injecting a fluid substance, and a syringe comprising such a head, said head being characterized in that it has a connection body (11) continued by a hollow tube (15) intended to communicate with the outlet of the reservoir and having a distal end, and a needle (16) having a pointed distal end, the head additionally comprising means for controlling the relative movement of said needle (16) with respect to said hollow tube (15) between a puncturing position, in which the pointed end of the needle (16), which is extendable in the hollow tube (15), protrudes from the distal end of the hollow tube (15), and a position for monitoring and characterizing the liquid coming from the injection site, the pointed distal end of the needle (16) being set back from the distal end of the hollow tube (15) in said position.
