Zusammenfassung:	Abstract A post and guard rail assembly, said post including an elongated mounting hole for connecting said guard rail directly to said post by means of a bolt passing through said guard rail and said mounting hole, said mounting hole being located below an upper edge of said post, said post including an aperture or slot spaced from said mounting hole and below said upper edge, whereby in the event of a collision by a vehicle with said assembly, a portion of a periphery of said aperture or slot will separate to allow said bolt and said guard rail to move from said post.
