Zusammenfassung: | SURFACE ENERGY MODIFICATION OF FABRIC SUBSTRATES An object of the present invention is a fabric substrate exhibiting useful physical and aesthetic performance while imparting an altered surface energy attributes, which is suitable for mechanical processing into useful end-use products. The fabric substrate material includes at least one application of a specially formulated acrylic system, which could be photo polymerized such as by use of an optimized wavelength. A unique feature of this acrylic system is a dual chemistry formulary which comprises a first component for good adhesion to the constituent fiber/filament and a second component is a functional group to provide a modified surface property. Inclusion of this technology into a method for modification of fabric substrates exhibits durability, consistent performance and ease of application/modification.
