Zusammenfassung:	In this indoor unit for an air conditioner that moves a front panel, the reduction in heat exchange performance of the indoor unit is suppressed by a connection member. A heat exchanger (20) has a U-shaped pipe (25) through which a refrigerant flowing in the longitudinal direction returns. A panel driving unit (50) generates driving force for moving the front panel by its own motion. A connection member (40) is disposed on the rear side of the front panel, connects the front panel and the panel driving unit (50), and delivers the driving force from the panel driving unit (50) to the front panel. At least a portion of the connection member (40) is disposed on the front side of the U-shaped pipe (25) so as to overlap the U-shaped pipe (25) in a front view.
