Method and device for aiding the navigation of a vehicule

The method for aiding the navigation of a vehicle comprises: - the construction (E10) of a numerical model defining an index of quality of a 3D inference image arising from an original image as a function of several similarity metrics defined between the original image and the 3D inference image, the construction using a set of observations obtained of the reference 3D inference images resulting from the application of 3D inference procedures to several reference original images, these observations comprising measured values of 3D information represented on the reference 3D inference images; - the acquisition (E20) of a first image of a spatial scene liable to influence the navigation of the vehicle; - the generation (E30) on the basis of the first image of a second 3D inference image; - the estimation (E40) of the metrics of similarity between the first and second images; - the evaluation (E50) of the index of quality of the second image by using the numerical model and the estimated similarity metrics; and - as a function of the estimated index of quality (E60), a step (E70) of using the second image to aid the navigation of the vehicle.
