Zusammenfassung:	A system (10) and method of predicting impending failure of a pressure vessel (12) include a pressure vessel (12), a fluid source (16), a line (14) coupled to the pressure vessel (12) and to the fluid source (16), an apparatus (18), a sensor (24) and a controller (26). The apparatus (18) includes a conduit (36) and a containment structure (40). The containment structure (40) includes a cavity (38) separated from an interior of the conduit (36) by a portion of a conduit wall (44) of the conduit (36). The sensor (24) is configured to determine a value of a physical property in the cavity (38). The controller (26) is in signal communication with the sensor (24) and configured to detect a change in the value. The method includes determining a first value of a physical property in the cavity (38), experiencing a failure of the conduit wall (44), determining a second value of the physical property in the cavity (38), and detecting a difference between the first and second values.
