Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to an aqueous adhesive composition comprising a resin including: at least one aromatic compound comprising at least one aromatic ring bearing at least two functions, one of said functions being a hydroxymethyl function, the other being an aldehyde function or a hydroxymethyl function, and melamine and/or at least one compound of general formula (I), wherein: each group R1, R2, R3 represents, independently of one another, an alkyl, aryl, arylalkyl, alkylaryl, cycloalkyl group or hydrogen, and X represents S, O or N-R4 with R4 representing an alkyl, aryl, arylalkyl, alkylaryl, cycloalkyl group, and the water content thereof is between 50 and 90 wt.-%.
