A side wall of the caravan has an opening and the caravan has a drop-down deck attached to a base of the opening. Further, the drop-down deck has a collapsible tent assembly. The drop-down deck can be unfolded such that the tent assembly can expand to form an internal room on a side of the caravan. In a reverse process, the drop-down deck and tent assembly can be folded into an upright position suitable for towing where the drop-down deck covers the opening.
