Zusammenfassung:	TEARDROP AND OFFSET NOTCH BRIDGING CONNECTOR The present invention relates to steel stud building wall systems and especially to apparatuses for stabilising steel studs to prevent lateral movement and torsion in such systems. When metal studs twist or bend, they lose their weight-bearing capacity. This may be exacerbated during a fire, which could potentially increase the amount of damage caused by the fire. The present invention provides a connector (1) for firmly connecting and stabilising a building wall steel stud (2) in concert with a bridging member (11), employing a bridging connector (19) with notches (134) that arc away from the central web (3) of the wall stud (2) in order to more firmly interface with it away from the edges of the web opening (8) in which the connector (19) is installed. This firm interface improves the connection and its ability to resist rotation of the wall stud.
