Method for purifying argireline

The present invention provides a method for purifying argireline, comprising steps of: (1) dissolution: dissolving an crude argireline product to be purified in acetic acid-sodium acetate solution and subsequently filtering the solution to obtain a filtrate; (2) primary purification: loading the filtrate obtained in step (1) onto a strong cation exchange column, and subjecting the strong cation exchange column to gradient elution with a mobile phase for primary purification and collecting eluate; and (3) desalination: loading the eluate collected in step (2) onto a reversed-phase polymer column, subjecting the reversed-phase polymer column to gradient elution with a mobile phase for desalination, collecting argireline solution, concentrating the argireline solution under reduced pressure and freeze drying the argireline solution to give argireline.
