Zusammenfassung:	Provided is an electric vehicle drive device in which a harness can be positioned so as not to interfere with a vehicle chassis component even when a swing arm oscillates, without adding a separate component. The drive device is equipped with a swing arm 41 having: an arm section 42 which is positioned on the left side, is axially supported on the front part thereof by a pivot shaft 36, and is configured from a principal wall 42b which is tall and extends in the front-rear direction; and a cross arm section 43 which is axially supported on the front part thereof by the pivot shaft 36, and has a connecting part 43a that extends to the left to the principal wall 42a. The principal wall 42a has a guide hole 45 formed therein that passes therethrough in the vehicle widthwise direction between the section axially supported by the pivot shaft 36 and the section where the connecting part 43a extends. A harness 51 is provided so as to extend along the left side of the principal wall 42a, pass through the guide hole 45, and extend along the cross arm 43.
