Metal strip and coil coating process

The invention relates to a metal strip (3) and to a coil coating process for multilayer coating of a continuous metal strip (3), wherein a curable polymer primer (9) is applied on a flat side (4) of the metal strip (3) with the aid of a roller application in order to form an electrically insulating primer coat (10), and a curable polymer varnish (11) is applied onto said primer coat (10) with the aid of a roller application and is cured in order to form an electrically insulating varnish layer (12), wherein at least one electric conductor layer (15) is printed at least in some areas between the primer coat (10) and the varnish layer (12). In order to allow for a stable and inexpensive electrical functionalizing of a metal strip, it is proposed that an electrically polarizable layer (18) is applied at least in some regions to the electric conductor layer (15), wherein the electric conductor layer (15) and the electrically polarizable layer (18) are applied by means of a wet-on-wet process.
