Zusammenfassung:SURGICAL FORCEPS A surgical instrument (10), comprising: an end effector assembly (100") including a pair of jaw members (110", 120") each including a proximal flange portion (114", 124") and a distal jaw portion (111", 121"), the proximal flange portions (114", 124") coupled to one another about a pivot such that at least one of the jaw members (110", 120") is movable relative to the other between a spaced-apart position and an approximated position, each of the distal jaw portions (111", 121") curved along at least a portion of a length thereof such that the curved distal jaw portions cooperate to define a concave side of the end effector assembly (100") and a convex side of the end effector assembly, the end effector assembly (100") adapted to connect to a source of energy; and an energizable member (400") adapted to connect to a source of energy, the energizable member (400") positioned on the concave side of the end effector assembly and configured to move along the concave side of the end effector assembly (100") between a retracted position, wherein the energizable member is disposed proximally of the distal jaw portions (111", 121") of the jaw members (110", 120"), and an extended position, wherein the energizable member (400") extends distally from the end effector assembly (100").
