description The present invention relates to a refrigerator and a method for controlling the refrigerator. Further, the refrigerator may also comprise: an ice-making unit that performs an ice-making operation; a user interface capable of receiving an input of at least one of an instruction to make the ice-making unit start an ice-making operation and an instruction to make the ice-making unit stop the ice-making operation; a dispenser lever; and a processor that controls the ice-making unit to stop the operation when the instruction to stop the ice-making is input through the user interface and controls the ice-making unit to start the ice-making operation when the dispenser lever is operated while the ice-making unit is at rest.
